Seesaw

Authoritarians and hierarchy builders are not acting from a position of strength. Instead, they have had no other choice but to become more extreme as they react to the amazing tenacity and success from centuries of building equality by breaking down numerous hierarchies.

A child’s seesaw shows us why hierarchy builders/authoritarians have become so crazy.

On one side of this seesaw is equality and opportunity for all. On the opposite side of the seesaw is authoritarianism and hierarchies that benefit the top.

For centuries, since our country was founded, the equality and fairness side has steadily gained mass. These accumulated victories have caused the people on the hierarchy/authoritarian side to feel more and more desperate, as they keep clinging to views that have become increasingly more outdated and unpopular.

We all know how a seesaw works. If one side gains more weight than its opponent, the side with less weight must move farther and farther from the center to stay in the game.

The length of the seesaw is limited and finite. As those of us on the equality side become increasingly united, we can jump together and cause radical hierarchy builders/authoritarians to finally fall off the end and be out of the game.
